ABOUT
Elly Cope began her musical career in Hingham, Massachusetts, a town in the Greater Boston Area. She began studying violin and piano at a young age at The South Shore Conservatory.

Elly is a graduate of Penn State University where she received her Bachelor's in Music Education and a Minor in Theatre. She has studied Violin with James Lyon, orchestral conducting and pedagogy with Gerardo Edelstein, and choral conducting with Dr. Christopher Kiver.

While at Penn State, Elly performed in Penn State's top ensembles such as the Philharmonic Orchestra, Essence of Joy, Oriana Singers, the Jazz Vocal Group "Vocal Dimensions," and PSU's competitive A Cappella group The Coda Conduct.

In Massachusetts, Elly is an active musician and performs at various functions around the Greater Boston Area. She sings with Coro Allegro, Boston's Classical LGBTQ+ and Allied Choir, as well as plays viola in the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra. Elly is also a member of NAfME, MMEA, and ASTA.
When Elly is not performing or teaching, she is frequently found on a hiking trail, playing recreational volleyball, and geeking out over RnB and Soul music.
